I'M STILL COMPARING YOUR PAST TO MY FUTURE

LUKE DVORAK is a kid who was going no where fast. He used to have a past of rulebreaking, drinking, and even drugs to try and solve his problems. He doesn't like to talk about it much, and he'll usually just refer to it as his 'dumb kid' phase. He's a fresh high school graduate who isn't sure where he wants to go and isn't ready for more school. He's a smart kid, but he's trying to figure out his direction a little more first. He owns Devil's Advocate, who used to be his school horse when his parents sent him to an equestrian center one summer to find a new hobby and make new friends. He still likes to play soccer, his old sport, and he's working on the friend thing. He has a lot to learn about show jumping, but with an eager horse like Dev and Luke's refreshed view on the world, he's ready to tackle whatever may come his way... He hopes, anyway.

FRIENDSHIPS

Luke's still new to the friend thing, and because of default sarcastic nature, he can turn some folks away. But that doesn't mean he doesn't try. He's a funny, compassionate, and loyal friend once he opens up just a little bit. He's wary to throw offers of friendship to just anyone, but if you're any decent individual, he'll give it a shot. He's still not a great judge of character, though, so I'd love to get him involved in some questionable friendships that he has to work his way around. Though really, he needs any and all friends he can get, so feel free to go for it! If you play soccer or are in his classes, he may try a little harder, too.

HATESHIPS

Luke is easily taunted or goaded, and he can be pretty rude. He's not always the most forgiving of first impressions, either, so that could certainly lead to some conflict. Luke used to be known as a little twit (to put it mildly) but a large majority of people in his hometown and his summer equestrian center, and some of that lazy, unmotivated, and apathetic attitude is still there, just waiting to annoy some people. I'd be curious to see someone try to mess with Luke; I don't think he'd handle it well.

LOVESHIPS

I never really know my character's sexuality, and I'm starting to get a feeling that Luke may be bisexual. I'm interested in anything here, but as with friendships, it'll take awhile for him to come out of his proverbial turtle shell. He also may or may not have a thing with his best friend, Paige (her wanted ad linked below). But, I'm open to any and all options, I love romance and romance-related drama. Luke definitely seems the type to get into all kinds of trouble. Just hit me up for ideas!! :3

OTHER IDEAS

So, first off, this is the wanted ad for Paige Holliday. She's his best friend who helped him turn a new leaf, and there may be a spark of romance? Who knows, but I'd love to play it out!! If you're interested, check out that link for more or PM me and we can talk.

Also, I was thinking it'd be interesting if Luke's parents or any of his old friends came to visit or even moved to Eddington. I'd like to see how he confronts with his past - juicy drama here, I'm sure, as he's kind of mad but also misses those friendships. Let me know if you're interested in such a thing and we can work out details, but these guys are really open other than any details mentioned in Luke's app. c:

FINALLY, A DISCLAIMER

Just a few notes for clarity amongst any potential RP partners!
My posting speed is medium-slow. I aim to post as soon as I'm able (typically every other day if possible or not rapid-firing), but often I'm tired or just unmotivated. I don't want to force RP, so that means I take my time with it and go with the flow of my energy. (But, that means you're welcome to take your time with me as well! :3 I just know that a slower pace isn't for everyone.)
Generally, expect shorter posts over long ones. I usually post a few paragraphs (between two and four), but I doubt I've been over 300-400 words in awhile. I'll always give you something to reply to, but I don't fluff unnecessarily. I don't mind if you give me long or short posts, just know that I post short and concise most of the time unless I'm particularly inspired. :3
